DJ Philthy Phil was created many moons ago in a place far far away in the United Kingdom , when he managed to get his hand s on a couple of Turntables, a Mixer and the biggest speakers he could find , much to the annoyance of his family!!! Very much influenced by heavy basslines that he was exposed to every year at Notting Hill Carnivals and many a party that he could get a set at, the Philthy set out to spread his love of Drum n Bass, Garage and anything that he felt had a right to played at many a Venue across the UK. The Philth had many slots at Pirate radio Stations across the UK and begun to get exposure ,leading to getting to play at clubs up and down the M25.

But in the year 2000 The Philth decided to go Down Under and travel to see its many sites, as he fell in love with the way of life in Australia he decided to lay some roots in Sydney.

It did not take the Philth long to get back behind the Decks and for the first time do a bit of Production using a copy of Fruity Loops, self taught himself how to form basslines and create synths along side building those dope beat loops.

In 2006/7 His life was changed by a family member coming over to visit him with a new sound that sound was DUBSTEP, he was immediately exposed to Benga, Caspa, Scream, Rusco, Cookie Monster, Funtcase, 16bit, Datsik, Bassnectar, Nero, Ajapai, Neski, etc..

This sound of Dubstep share his love of Garage, DrumnBass, Roots and put them in a mixing pot!

Philthy Phil ended up managing a club in Central Coast called the Woodport INN which has a variety of the best international and Australian Artist s to hit the Australian shores including the likes of :-

Kid Kenobi, Tommy Trash, Chris Frasier RAW FM, Timmy Trumpet, The Staffords Brothers, Ajax, BAG Raiders, HumpDay Project, Nick Skitzs, Dr Werewolf, Cookie Monster, Shock One, Mobin Master,Kobra Kai, Bliss n Esso, Art v Science, Mark Dynamixs, Bang Gang, The Truth, Daneily Farley, Tom Piper, Matt Nukewood an so many more who I forget to mention.

The Philth has played along side all these amazing talent and taking lots of musical insight to all these artists to try create create his own Sound.
