Funk Freeka
Central Coast local, DJ Funk Freeka began his musical journey as an active member of Sydney’s early 90s rave scene.
After purchasing DJ mix tapes from Central Station Records, including the imported jungle tapes of legends Kenny Ken and Randall, he stumbled across LTJ Bukem and became hooked on deeper, atmospheric dnb sounds.
DJ Funk Freeka plays a broad spectrum of dnb mostly featuring liquid or atmospheric dnb, with his mixes heavily influenced by jazz, funk or dub and all supported by deep, rolling basslines.
When the mood suits, he can also put together a killer jungle set, so keep an eye out for his mixes on Doosh FM and don’t miss out on your regular dnb fix!
